A Guide for Stacking Rings
Out of all the types of jewelry, I think rings are my favorite (followed closely by earrings!). Rings are special because they are sized specifically for us and usually hold significant meaning (like wedding rings or family heirlooms). Rings were always my go-to souvenir - I have rings from all over the world that remind me of my travels and adventures!
With rings, we have the ability to go crazy and wear multiple on every finger… or keep it minimal and just have one or two… the combinations are endless and we can express ourselves however we want! Here’s some inspiration to get creative with your ring stacks… Enjoy!
MIX & MATCH - Play around with different textures and metals. For example, try a brass ring with a reeded texture next to a silver ring with a hammered texture. Or a wider band nestled between two thinner bands!
ODD NUMBERS - Try stacking three or five simple bands on one finger - our brains like the way odd numbers take us on a visual journey and create a clear focal point!
CREATE BALANCE - Keep in mind the other rings you are wearing. If you have a statement wedding ring, balance it out by a statement stack on the other hand!
SILENCE OR SOUND - Do you like the sound rings make when they clink together? Try side-by-side stacks on two fingers next to each other! If you prefer no clinking, only wear rings on every other finger. Shhhh….
LOSS PREVENTION - If you have a ring that’s a little too big, try putting it at the bottom of your ring stack. This will secure it from falling off and you will still get to wear and enjoy it!
I hope these ideas spark inspiration. Share your ring stack photos with me - I’d love to see what you come up with!
