The story of The Secret Garden captured my heart as a little girl. If you’ve never read (or watched) the story, I highly recommend it! It was written in 1911 by Frances Hodgson Burnett. I recently read the book and watched the movie again (for the 500th time!) and I can honestly say I loved and resonated with it more than ever. It is timeless.
The Secret Garden is a story of hope and belonging. When all seems bleak, when hope eludes, when we feel lost and alone, when we’ve experienced loss… that’s when we find our way into the garden. Beyond the gate lies a sleeping world about to burst to life. Healing begins. We dare to hope again. In the garden we find belonging. There was something sleeping below the surface, and it has awoken once again!

I began designs in February during our trip to Bali!
A few weeks later I received my order from Portland Waterjet - The shapes turned out perfectly!
It’s so rewarding to see my sketches come to life - and to share them with you!
Once back home, I finalized all the shapes to be cut out of brass, then sent the measurements off to Portland.
In March I began production of the prototype pieces - and the collection began to take shape!
