Packaging designed to REUSE, RECYCLE & COMPOST!
You might already know that I use natural materials for my jewelry (like leather, metal, stone and wood), but did you know that I also only use natural materials for my packaging!? Everything I create is inspired by nature and natural materials, so of course that applies to how I package and ship out online orders as well! Here’s the breakdown:
Your online orders are slipped into cloth bags which are totally reusable! These little drawstring bags are made of 100% cotton!
Your order is then padded with a little excelsior (or “wood wool”) which is literally just aspen wood and can be composted! Composting at home is so easy. We have a little bin on our kitchen counter where we toss food scraps. Then those go into a bigger bin outside along with lawn clippings, sticks and leaves… which all eventually goes into our garden!
Your order is then slipped into a paper mailer envelope which you can toss right into your recycling bin!
If you’re like me, living a more sustainable life can feel overwhelming… but I’ve learned to introduce a few simple things at a time. Things I can easily change. And instead of feeling guilty about all the things I don’t do (yes, I still use ziplock bags and saran wrap), I choose to celebrate the changes I have made!
